I just came from an interview with a digital agency today where I met with two very well mannered and pleasant ADs.
We had lunch and everything felt good and on track, and then, before I left, one of the ADs asked me:
“Are you super busy over the next few days?”
“Well, not really”, I replied.
“We have a task for you if you’re up for it, mainly so we can see how you work. We would like to give you an open brief and you will present your result as well as how you got there sometime next week if that’s ok?”
Wow, what a great idea!
I mean, resumes (CVs), portfolios and personal letters are all good and everything, but to describe the process of a real task says a LOT more of not only who you are and how you think and work, but it will also show off your presentation skills. Something that comes in handy in this field..
I’m not going to tell you who this is for or what the agency is (yet), but if I get it, you will all know, and hopefully they will let me share my result here with you.
