I just got an email from IFTTT saying that my recipes connected to my Evernote account needed my attention, and what I found was a pleasant surprise.

It turns out Evernote has apparently decided to remind us users to consider changing our passwords on a regular basis by forcing us to pick a new password after a set time of having the same password.

I really like this idea. It made me think about my online account security in a good way. I hope other services pick up on this. I think if you’ve had the same password for over, let’s say, two years, you probably should consider changing it anyway.
